My last Can't Wait Wednesday post was for the predecessor of House of Flame and Shadow, released almost two years ago now, which tells you a lot about how often I post 😫. But oh well, life happens, and it gets busy sometimes. 

Now I am here because I am so unbelievably, uncontrollably, insanely excited for this upcoming release from Sarah J Maas. This will be her first release in two years, and my god it's been a long wait. What did I do in a past life to now eternally be forced two years for the next series installment? I thought for sure this series would be wrapped up by the time I finished medical school, but now it looks like I'll be done with medical school first! A surprising development, to say the least. 

The reasons why I'm excited for this book are too many to count, but I'm going to put a couple below for the girlies who are up-to-date on ALL Sarah J. Maas books. If you're not up-to-date, I highly recommend you pick up this series and her ACOTAR series. They're so fun, effortless, and addictive. For me, they are the ultimate comfort reads, and reading one of her books feels like reuniting with family members at this point. 

I am, most of all, so intriguied by the ACOTAR-CC crossover content we are about to get! How will the characters interact? How will the ACOTAR characters help Bryce defeat the Asteri? Will we get FeysandNyx content? I've been reading ACOTAR for so long that seeing Feysand on the page is like coming home after a long day. And now with the added prospects of domestic bliss and baby content, what more could a girl want?

Moreover, I am insanely interested in the conversations Nesta and Bryce will have, they're going to bond so well! I really hope everyone gets past the language barrier somehow because I want Bryce to have conversation with all the Archerons, Cassian, and Azriel, rather than just Rhys and Amren. I wonder if the crossover will signal some plot/character development in the ACOTAR world as well? Will Sarah J Maas hint at the next ACOTAR's book protagonist (clearly Elain in my opinion) and any love interests? There are simply too many questions and too many possibilities with a crossover like this and if I think too much about it my brain honestly feels on the brink of implosion. What are your predictions on the crossover content we'll get? Which ACOTAR and CC character are you most excited to see interact?
