Unpopular Book Opinions {Srishti}

History: The unpopular opinions book tag was actually on booktube, a booktuber called The Book Archer created a set of questions for booktubers to answer about their unpopular book opinions. I saw several videos of this, the original, amongst others, and I really wanted to do it, but I'm not a booktuber so I decided to answer all the questions in a blog post.

So here you go! Enjoy! Be careful this contains spoilers

A popular book or series that you do not like?

I have failed and tried reading the Mortal Instruments/ Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. I have no idea if that is a popular series but I don't feel like searching that up. I have tried reading this series but it was slow to get into. There was a lot romance/love triangle and confusing moments that I was totally annoyed with. I have heard a lot of people praise this other and series but I can't agree.

A popular book or series that everyone seems to hate but you love?

Ooh.This one is quite hard actually. I don't know what to pick honestly I haven't read tons of series before and the only reason I am reading them now is because of Yomna and I am very thankful for that but I don't think I have the right to answer this question. So PASS!

A love triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with or an OTP that you don't like?

Okay let get this part-ayy started! (What?!) So here goes nothing:

OTP I dislike:

  1.  Maven and Mare (Red Queen series): I am so against this! Maven has been so mean against Mare it is impossible to keep count. OK, he loves her and wants to make her his queen and blablabla but he killed someone dear to her AND manipulated her AND betrayed her! So no I am against this!
  2.  Aspen and America (The selection series): That didn't even happen! He was her first love but he left her and now she moved on. She is happy now and he can't do anything. Besides you should know what happens!
Where the main character ended up with the WRONG person:
  1.  Bella and Edward (Twilight series): I haven't read the books but have seen the movies and let me tell you I don't appreciate this! I mean Jacob has abs and he is hot and he is like he humongous puppy and did I tell you he has abs while Edward is a sparkling hundred year old vamp, so do you see my point? But I don't really care that much about this love triangle anyway!

A popular book genre that you hardly reach for:

This quite hard considering the fact that I read anything I get my hands on, but I have never read horror books and I don't intend to. I have read Frankenstein (the play) but I don't really lean to it. It scares me to much which is the point of the book but still never touching those!

A popular character that you do not like:

This one is quite hard too. I think I keep saying that each time. If I had to choose a character I dislike it will be... No I can't! I like all of them, even the villains sometimes because they bring a story but I can't chose right now. Maybe in a year or two I will have to do this post again when I have more knowledge.

A popular author that you just can't seem to get into:

Cassandra Clare! I am very fascinated by all the work she has done but can't see myself as a fan. Like I have mentioned earlier I tried reading her books but I never get myself into them. I feel like she is forcing romance or drama a bit to much.

A popular book trope you're sick and tired of seeing:

It would have to be LOVE TRIANGLES! I know Yomna said the same thing but I couldn't think of anything else! Honestly, they are quite useless and will save us a lot of frustration. The protagonist is supposed to be a hero of sorts but the fact they can't choose who they want to be with is Urg!

A popular series that you have no interest in reading:

The Percy Jackson series! They seem amazing and mind-blowing but I have heard about the author constantly adding the protagonist, Percy in a lot of his books and I don't feel like getting attached to him and having to read. Every. Single. Book! So no I don't plan on reading them.

The saying goes, "The book is always better than the movie" but what movie or TV show adaption was better than the book?

This will have to be passed to as I haven't read enough books turned into movies to give you a proper answer I am so sorry!

The End! So here was my unpopular series review and I hope you enjoyed and agreed with my opinions and if not please don't tell me anything! I am kidding. Actually, NO! I am sorry I couldn't answer some of the questions but I will try collecting more books to read over the years!

Love,
