When you set out for revenge, dig two graves
Growing up in the sleepy English seaside town of Brynston, the fearless five – Ella, Max, Corey, Fallon and Zane – were always inseparable. Living up to their nickname, they were the adventurous, rowdy kids who lived for ghost stories and exploring the nearby islands off the coast. But when Max’s beloved older sister Jessica is killed, the friendship seems to die with her.
Now years later, only Max and Ella are in touch; still best friends and a couple since they were thirteen. Their lives are so intertwined Max’s dad even sponsors Ella’s training for the Commonwealth Games. But Ella is hiding things. Like why she hates going to Max’s house for Sunday dinner, and flinches whenever his family are near. Or the real reason she’s afraid to take their relationship to the next level.
When underdog Corey is bullied, the fearless five are brought back together again, teaming up to wreak havoc and revenge on those who have wronged them. But when the secrets they are keeping can no longer be kept quiet, will their fearlessness be enough to save them from themselves?

Wonderful really heartfelt story. I cried and definitely didn't see this one coming.
Thank you to HarperCollins Publishers for sending me a copy of this book!!! I am so grateful for the opportunity.
This is my completely honest opinion and has not been influenced whatsoever.
In the beginning, this book was admittedly very slow. I really wanted to like it, but I found myself losing interest when it didn't pick up. However, I persisted, and I'm so glad I continued.
This book is about the main character Ella, as she goes to get revenge for events that happened in her past. She is joined by her past friends and together they do justice to the people who have imposed suffering on them. Or what they think is right.
Ella is a wonderful character. She is so vibrant, so real, and she just really comes alive as you turn the pages.
The other characters in this book are also incredible, each with their own journey to go through.
There were parts in this book that I felt were really character driven and other parts that were really plot driven so it was a good balance. You get to know the characters closely and also get to have some parts that move really fast and tell you more about the events in the book.
I think what was really well-represented in this book is how a traumatic event can affect a person. And how hard it is to get over your fears and just speak out.
I usually don't read thriller revenge stories, but I'm really glad I tried this one. I'll try to read more like this. But then again, I always say that I'm going to read something other than YA fantasy but I never actually do so if I'm being totally honest, probably not.
This story is really good. I strongly recommend it to everyone. I think it covers some important topics.
Thanks,
Yomna
